Welcome to the team, Beatriz!

Team transfer under the Spanish sun

Beatriz joined the SOCCA GROUP team in Spain at the beginning of the year. In her role as District Manager, she supports our location in Alicante together with Jordi and will be an important point of contact for local teams in the future. Beatriz brings international experience, a great enthusiasm for sport and a great deal of commitment.

To get to know Beatriz better, we asked her five questions:

How did you come across the SOCCA GROUP?
I came across the SOCCA GROUP after finishing my internship in the UK. When I returned to Spain to complete my thesis, I enrolled in a university program, through which I received the opportunity to apply for a position at Soccatours. This led me to get in contact with the manager in Spain and after a couple of calls and an interview process, I received the confirmation that I had been selected for the role.

What was your first impression of the team and the company culture?
My first impression was very positive. The team is very young and energetic, and the atmosphere within the company is really welcoming. The company culture seems open and friendly, which I believe is the reason why the work environment feels so positive. Everyone has been extremely kind, welcoming me with big smiles and genuine excitement about me joining the team.

Which tasks are you most looking forward to?
I am especially looking forward to welcoming teams and being involved in the creation of new destinations. I’m also very excited about working closely with hotels and sports cities, and contributing to the development of new and unique experiences.

What has been your greatest sporting achievement so far in your life?
Throughout my life, I have been involved in various sports. I started as a child with swimming, but quickly transitioned to football, where I trained with the boys’ team at the age of 12. Later on, together with some friends, I took part in creating the first women’s football team in my hometown, which I consider my greatest sporting achievement. Although I eventually changed sports and began competing in chess, some of my friends from that team are still playing in women’s teams today.

What is a “random fact” / talent? (optional)
Even though I’m from Alicante, where snow is almost nonexistent, I’ve been skiing every Christmas in the north of Spain with my family since I was a child. I’d say I’m a confident skier — though perfection is still very much a work in progress. 🎿😉

Great to have you here, Beatriz! We’re looking forward to working together and sharing many sporting experiences in Spain. ⚽️🎉
