From Bolzano to Rosenheim – New Intern for Procurement
Since August 17, Alex Fasolato has been strengthening the SOCCA GROUP team at our headquarters in Rosenheim. He is currently studying Tourism, Sports and Event Management at the University of Bolzano and, as part of his mandatory internship, will primarily support our Procurement department over the next two and a half months.
He can already draw on practical experience gained at four different hotels in South Tyrol – an excellent foundation for working with our partners and searching for new hotels and sports facilities.
Alex grew up multilingual in South Tyrol and, in addition to German and Italian, also speaks English, Spanish and French. He was able to further improve his English skills in particular during a semester abroad in Australia.
Outside of work, much of Alex’s life revolves around sports and travel. He feels especially at home in the mountains, a connection that is also reflected in his many years of experience as a mountain guide with the Bruneck Alpine Club. Volleyball, sailing and skiing are among his other sporting passions. His greatest sporting achievement to date even took him to the Italian U19 Volleyball Championships.
To mark his start with us, we naturally wanted to get to know Alex a little better:
How did you find out about SOCCA GROUP?
I was looking for an opportunity to gain international experience in the sports industry that would allow me to develop new knowledge in this field.
What was your first impression of the team and the company culture?
Everyone on the team is very friendly and helpful. I’m sure I’ll feel comfortable here, even though I haven’t known them for very long. The company culture is very strong and is shared by the entire group.
Which tasks are you most looking forward to?
Finding new partners, such as hotels and football pitches, that we can work with.
What has been your greatest sporting achievement so far?
The Italian U19 Volleyball Championships.
Which two words describe you best?
Constant traveler.
