Shaping the future together: strategy, international teamwork and rafting in Tyrol
Once a year, the entire international team at SOCCA GROUP comes together for the Big Picture. This annual event provides an opportunity to review the company’s development, discuss the strategic priorities for the new financial year and strengthen the links between the various sites and departments.
Following Big Picture 2024 in Rosenheim and Big Picture 2025 on Lake Chiemsee, Big Picture 2026 took us to St. Johann in Tyrol. Against the backdrop of the Wilder Kaiser, the focus over the two days was on our shared future, personal exchanges and building a sense of community.
An international team in one place
As early as Thursday, our colleagues from various countries and locations arrived at the Explorer Hotel Kitzbühel. As all staff members were staying at the hotel together, this year’s staff event did not begin with the official programme on Friday.
A dinner together the evening before provided ample opportunity to catch up with familiar faces, get to know new team members better and chat away from the daily grind. These personal encounters are particularly valuable for a company that is expanding internationally.
A strategic outlook on the new financial year
Friday morning was devoted to the SOCCA GROUP’s strategic direction. A series of presentations outlined key areas of focus, put recent developments into context and clarified the shared objectives for the coming financial year.
A key focus was on digital solutions designed to further enhance the customer experience. In future, we aim to make booking processes even more efficient and ensure that the individual steps are simpler, more transparent and more convenient for our customers.

The professional development of our staff was also a key priority. With an internal learning platform, we aim to share knowledge within the group in an even more structured way in future, promote individual development and support collaboration between teams and sites.
Other strategic topics included optimising our procurement and ensuring even closer coordination with our destinations and partners. Together, we looked at how processes could be improved, information shared more efficiently, and the quality of our sports holidays further enhanced in the long term.
Above all else, the focus was on further refining our vision: where do we, as the SOCCA GROUP, want to go; what standards do we set for our work; and how can we continue to combine our growth with quality, a customer-focused approach and a strong corporate culture?
Teamwork on the Ache
Following the strategic sessions in the morning, the afternoon was spent on the water. Rafting together on the River Ache called for coordination, trust and team spirit. Split into several boats, the international team demonstrated that successful collaboration isn’t just something that works in the office.
The sporting challenge, the stunning Tyrolean landscape and a few particularly wet moments made the team event an experience that will be remembered for a long time to come.

Let’s round off the evening together
In the evening, we rounded off Big Picture 2026 together. After an intense day, there was time for good conversations, shared memories and a look ahead to what lies ahead.
The Big Picture has once again demonstrated what sets the SOCCA GROUP apart: clear objectives, a commitment to continuous improvement and an international team that takes joint responsibility.
